Different characters fight in different ways. As far as combos go, they are basically short unless you figure out how to chain multiple combo moves on your own, which totally works. You go from one short combo into the next and then into the next and some moves flow much better than others into another move.Everybody can turn any costumes into the higher tiered costumes over time (and the store bought ones are only start a single star above the found ones). The tuning systems mean that there isn't a lot of bonus to store bought stuff other than the straight out premium systems, which are a basic amount of money each month, not some pay to win system where you spend many hundreds or thousands to be stronger than the next person, who then spends multiple hundreds that night to beat you, back and forth etc etc. Free to Play games notoriously get bad ratings from people who just assume it's going to be pay to win, lots of people normally jump in to give negative ratings just on the principle that they dislike F2P, luckily this one isn't there yet and is still mostly positive at this time. Hopefully people see that the systems are *mostly* fair in this one. If you want to play all day long it may seem like you don't have a lot of fatigue to start, but that will change over time. One, as you make more characters you get a pool of fatigue to draw from and just creating side characters you don't use gives you more fatigue right off. Two, a housing and gardening system opens up after a bit of playing and when you do gardening and housing explorations those will level up. As your house levels up you get way more stamina. People may panic to know there's a stamina system but it really is fairly easily overcome. When you first start it seems like it might be more restrictive because you don't have a lot on your first character at low level, personally I never was able to play enough to use up my stamina even back then. I'm sure some people will be, but if you really want to play that much all day long you should probably consider the subscription service which gives you stamina potions to use up.So far the game hasn't been doing any of the blunders that Kritika Online did. They did some really cheesy moves trying to make extra money that screwed Founders and early purchasers over on that game. I hope and think maybe they learned their lesson because they haven't done those same things here yet. Let's hope they don't :DI've mentioned quite a lot of things other than the gameplay. It's a side scrolling beat em up with up and down movement as well. As you level up skills they get more combo moves and effects added to them, as well as getting many more skills overall, so it's sort of hard to tell how a character will play when you first are using them but just kow you'll get many more options and moves if you keep playing. To me the gameplay is fairly decent but the game shines more with the stories it tells. There are different sides to the story that you will only see if you play different characters that are inside the various major factions in the game. Right now the 2nd faction only has a single character, though I find her story to be one of the best, there are 4 more characters coming to that faction in the future along with a 3rd faction that isn't in this version yet.. TL;DR: If you think of it as a casual game rather than an action game, it's a perfect game.I have played this game for...about 2 years in other servers. The game is objectively terrible as an action game. There is little or no care put into level design, it's just an open field with mobs that will run up to you to get killed. You won't have to be concerned with most boss attack patterns, because your stats will be too high for them to matter. The only time you have to care about boss attack patterns is late game, because late game is where the bosses will instant kill you (which is a horrible implementation of artificial difficulty). As you progress further and further into the game, instant kill attacks become more and more commonplace. (At the time of writing this review, NA doesn't have the absolutely terrible instant kill bosses...yet.) And even then, there is no good incentive (other than bragging rights\/deliberate self-challenge\/penny pinching, all of which are niche reasons) to play defensively or evasively. All skills in the game provide armor, so you're more likely to just keep spamming skills, and the game does not take any initiative to punish players for doing this. Any damage you take can be recovered with potions, and even if you die, most dungeons do not have a ressurection limit, so as long as you have resurrection caps (which are often given to players for free, or purchasable for an arguably low price from the auction house), you suffer no real penalties.Gradually, your stats will grow large enough that you won't even need to use potions or ressurrections, because your stats will be high enough to kill the boss in 2 minutes or less, skipping most of their attack patterns. You're also more likely to spend more time glaring at your character's skill cooldowns rather than paying attention to the boss's attacks. Maintaining maximum damage output is difficult, as you need to recast multiple buffs very often due to the low buff duration. Also, if you ever decide to play this game with friends, be warned that the main campaign has SEVERAL solo missions. You should expect to do most of the campaign by yourself. As for the PvP, it's a joke. I'd much rather have the MOBA mode that naddic used to have. Many people will state that PvP is skill-based rather than stat-based, but I disagree: there is no stat cap on raw ATK.I also think the PvP is more luck-oriented than skill-oriented, as it's a competition of the first person to get a lucky catch.Afterwards, it's a competition of the first person to get the lucky catch when the other person has Cancel (method of breaking out of combo) on cooldown, so that you can one-shot them with an infinite combo (which all the characters are capable of doing). Also, the balance is terrible: you can easily win as Lee Seha, as he's the only character with easy access to True Damage (completely ignores defenses)\u2014you won't even need to do a combo.Despite all that I have just stated, I would still recommend this game solely on the grounds that this game is better than the other anime MOARPG out there.I sincerely doubt that you will find any other MOARPG out there with action as fast-paced as Closers. It's fun to dress up the characters, and due to the stat-oriented gameplay, it's a perfect game for power fantasy fulfillment. The game is not Pay-to-Win for me because cashers only have 2 gameplay advantages: Speed of item\/gold acquisition, and speed of leveling. This means that freebie players are capable of catching up eventually, which also means that freebie players aren't excluded from any content. (Although I should note that I say this on the grounds that free players are capable of purchasing items from players who cash with in-game currency from the game's auction house.)In other words (TL;DR), if you think of it as a casual game rather than an action game, it's a perfect game.. It's a bit of hit and miss with this one. I want to love it but the game pretty much stops me from having too much fun. All the other reviews are about spot on. Game looks great, lots of cosmetics. Combat is fluid and feels great chaining skills together. I just wish I could play more but after one night of playing im already capped on stamina (fatigue) and i can't play my character anymore. What a shame. It's the oddest thing to do for a PC game. So now I have two choices. Either A) create a new character to play on (until i stam cap that character too) or B) play a different game. Welp. That's a buzz kill.It does look like the game is kinda P2W but if you just play with another friend or 2 I think this is a solid game to co-op F2P. If you ever played Castle Crashers and enjoyed going through all the missions then you'll find a place here. (That fatigue system though)I had the twitch code so i didn't even have to pay to get into early access but 3 hours into the game I knew it was legit a lot of fun so i dumped the 15 bucks on it to show a bit of support. I'm sure im okay with spending the 15 bucks for a night of entertainment but I think most gamers are probably looking for a little more bang for their buck. If you read up on their DLCs most of you guys will barf.. Some of my thoughts of this game1) PaytoWin Thoughts - (None to Semi-P2W??) (Note: IMO)- The game does not seem to give the player any parameter advantages over those that do not purchase EMP. The cosmetics look really nice though. It does not seem to give anyone any kind of 'boost' in dungeon runs and enhancing\/crafting items are very easy to get. I was told that this P2W does not make ANY impact to the PVP as the PvP balances out your stats REGARDLESS of what gear you use(will have to try PVP later). Everyone is under the same XP grinding pace and the grinding is NOT influenced no matter how much money you spend. (I think I might pick up some costumes for my Sylvi though)2) Combat - (Fluid and Excellent)- Most of the combat will revolve around mostly using your skills. Unlike Elsword, it is ALOT easier to connect your combos as most of your Closer's skills can connect with each other so you can almost create a variety of unique combos. Combo strings are not as intricate as Elsword3) Story (Okay)- The story is okay, I really like the short anime cutscenes though. Not much to say about it4) Stamina System (Fatigue) (Can be annoying)- This is something that almost if not everyone will find annoying about this game. The fatigue system can be somewhat a nuisance but I can understand it is implemented so that we can save the quality time we spend when playing this game.5) Bugs\/Glitches- I have a high end PC and from time to time, I suffer from frame drops every now and then but it did NOT ruin my entire gameplay experience. Although it is under early access at the moment so that will change from time to time.6) Skill System- You get more skills as your Closer promotes the ranks (will get to that later) and you gain skill points to spend on your abilities everytime you level up. At the cost of credits (In-game money), you can gain your points back by modifying the level of your skills. This is extremely useful in case if you make a mistake in leveling up your skills. (VERY IMPORTANT)7) Job System- There isn't really a job system in this game as all of the characters already have a unique class in of itself. There is no job branching advancements and you get all the skills you need as your Closer gets promoted at a certain Lvl Milestone (Trainee, Novice Agent, Regular Agent etc.) Although it would something nice to have in the future. As the days go by, we will have to wait until we can catch up in content that is currently provided in Closers KRI am around 10 hours in this game and these are my thoughts for the time being Already level 35 Sylvi and I am enjoying this game so far.More to come.... Closers is what you'd get if Platinum Games made a dungeon crawler. If you're looking for a fast paced multiplayer game with intuitive movement and excellent gameplay then you've found your niche. And it's damn impressive really, the action genre is kinda my bag and Closers lands firmly on the 'very good' side of things. (top 85% easy) The gameplay gives the player a feeling of speed, skill is rewarded with flashy attacks and spectacle, and the game is fun. Try it out!. I loved this game, but hope that this review will prevent even a single person from expeirencing what I went though. To sum up my experience https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/sbnwx0z.pngThat is EME's support team lead trying to delete my account after I screamed not to.(I didnt know it was the support team lead until he deleted my account)https:\/\/i.imgur.com\/ThPmwBi.pngOver a month later I stand with a deleted account after battling to have all of my personal information removed from their records.************************************************This is my full experience with CLOSERS.I enjoyed the game even with all the bad translations and some characters talking to the wrong people. The only real problems I had were from the "support" staff. Buy items at your own risk, you will not recieve any help from the support team.Several months in I purchased an Item they had advertized as having an effective rate of 13.8% chance to obtain one of the best of prized items. I purchased 17 of those $20 packs and accepted what RNG would do. I earned one of the top prizes. 2 days later I learn that the 13.8% chance I had been lead to believe was a lie. The rate was actually hidden and below 1% total. After being informed I immediately requested that Support refund all of the boxes as the rates I recieved were not what I had paid for. They completely refused.Months pass, I purchase the $250 pack while an event is happening. Again one of the listen items in the event was not as I expected so I asked for a refund without opening anything. I ask support explaining everything, they refused to refund the $250 pack based on the related event item "has been opened." I tried again a week later claiming to be an imbicile that clicked the wrong pack and was refunded by a different support staff member(team lead man was angry at this person.) After checking that the event item was safely removed, and that my extremely similar item from the $20 boxes was not removed I concluded that I was safe.Months pass and I learn that the Item I had won from the boxes was missing. I check everywhere before asking support where the item has gone. They inform me that they only keep purchase records for exactly 1 month and can not help me. I have played video games for 25 years and regularly reach endgame status. I am not incompetent enough to accidentally delete a valueable item AND be unaware of it. EME went out of their way to delete my item that I had paid good money for. A week later they then had the gaul to say "be careful next time" when presenting me with the item that should never have been deleted. At this point I was pretty upset at their service and requested the BBB to intervine as I saw they had 12 other answered BBB complaints.A week passes. I request that EME move my SOD 10\/10 piece set to a different character as multiple other friends had already done this. I was not just refrused, I was refused the transfer of my SOD TITLE. I had asked nothing about this title, the guy straight up didnt read my request. This effectively became harassment as this support staff locked out the ability for any other staff to answer so I turned to the discord for assistance. To answer my call was the support team lead who looked very heavily into all of the tickets involved. He then replied "We do not offer the service of transfering a title." No joke. The guy that was supposed to have read the support tickets checking for harassment responded with the exact same error. I could not have been more clear in saying 10\/10 piece SoD accessory costume yet somehow both support staff thought this meant a worthless thing like a title. Even after being presented with evidence that this transfer was done for other players the guy still refused.A week passes and I realise that it is possible the entire company is retaliating for the BBB complaint they still had not answered. This meant they would have no interest in recovering me as a customer so I wanted my personal info removed from their systems. The support lead offered deleting my account, but I realised that account deletion would do nothing about the players council application I had put in. I wanted this fraud company to have none of my info.At this point I made a choice, I wanted to keep playing as I still enjoyed the game and had spent a good deal of money and time on it. I requested all information be deleted that was possible without removing the account. EME was not to make another penny, I had still had months of play time remaining. 68 hours pass and the support team lead responds to the statement "DO NOT DELETE MY ACCOUNT" with "as per request we will remove your account from our systems."Needless to say, I freak out a bit. Not only does this company hold my personal info hostage, they are screwing with me. I spam every EME member I can on the discord for help in dealing with this support staff that is trying to delete my account without permission. The BBB complaint goes through unanswered after 35 days and is officially posted on BBB as EME's first unanswered complaint dropping their rating from B+ to D+ (updated for 2018\/10\/30 they are now F after leaving somebody else's complaint unanswered.) to quote the support team lead "I do not believe the BBB to be a credible organization." Why did they answer 12 complaints before if it was not credible?5 days of spamming EME staff about the attempt to delete my account the support team lead finally responds claiming that "you selected a category that automatically recieves this response" I had selected the category that best described my request, and nowhere on that was I informed that it was account deletion exclusive. Furthermore it took 68 hours for that "automatic" reply, so much for EME claiming to not be robots. At this point the support lead told me that I needed to contact Xsolla as they for some reason my my credit card info instead of EME. EME waited 23 days to pass the buck. For reference, in the 5 minutes I was on Xsolla's website I; found the live chat button, identified my cancelled credit card number that I no longer physically held, removed my name and address from their records. FIVE MINUTES! Seriously that experience was amazing. 5\/5 stars for solving problems in minutes unlike EME who creates problems for months.More weeks pass and I FINALLY manage to have them remove all of my personal info. I am now able to play until my time is up without paying another penny. One day passes. EME implemented a new system. in order to log in, you must agree to allow EME to sell your personal information and provide a link to what it is they collect and share. The first thing they list is account name and password. After all the lies and slander EME put me through I was not able to say that they 100% would not sell my account name and password. I was banned on discord for questioning this and had 5 open and locked support tickets. EME's support ticket system prevents you from opening any more than 5 tickets at a time. I was unable remove my remaining account info and delete the account.2 weeks later I managed to contact a players council member to middleman my account's deletion.EME claims to hire gamers for gamers. I can say even without bias, EME has had 2 of the worst "gamers" I have ever seen in any game after 20 years of multiplayer experience. These players represent EME on live twitch streams. Playing the game for months and still have issues with the most basic of controls such as jump or what will this skill do. Your staff didnt even know the difference between a title that does nothing and a 10 item combination that can double your combat stats. Here I stand betrayed by a company that I thought had support staff who cared about its players. I never thought I would find a support team worse at their job than NCsoft but EME managed to pull it off. A support staff's job is supposed to make players want to pay the company. Nice job.. If you used to play games like Elsword or DFO, you will definitely get addicted to this game, like me.. Note: The founder's pack you get from the Enmasse website is separate from Steam, meaning you won't get access to the steam version for free if you own the Enmasse packs. (The game still uses your enmasse account, so you don't lose anything.)Since this is separate package, this means that you can actually have TWO of each founders pack per account.(2x Trainee, 2x Agent, etc.)This game is relatively fun, as it includes pvp, lots of pve, a decent storyline, and 5 playable characters as of now (there are others, but not released yet on this version), this does have a stamina system however, so if you're looking for something to grind for hours and hours, this isn't what you're looking for. Also not very demanding for lower end pc's Burning Knight Workshop tools: Check out those new tools, that I made for speeding up the development! The best part about them is that they will be available as a part of workshop :)Here is a locale editor, that allows translating the game to other languages really easy (as well as a prototype of level editor):And this is dialog editor, for those, who like me, prefer working with UI and not json :)
